This booklet for Aboriginal women provides information about the risks of drinking alcohol during pregnancy and strategies to support women to not drink.

The booklet also promotes the availability of professional services to support women in not drinking alcohol during pregnancy and the role family and friends play in supporting a pregnant woman.

The booklet can be filled out in conjunction with a health professional to discuss:

  • health risks to you and your baby
  • no amount of alcohol is safe when pregnant
  • if alcohol is a worry
  • reasons to change
  • tips for change.

This publication was adapted from a resource by the Northern Territory Department of Health, in conjunction with the Menzies School of Health Research.
