Alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment services assist people to address their drug use. Treatment objectives can include reduction or cessation of drug use as well as improvements to social and personal functioning.
This 2021–22 annual report found that around 131,000 people aged 10 and over received treatment from alcohol and other drug treatment services in Australia. It also provides information on drugs of concern, COVID-19 impact, treatment types, referrals and completion rates.
