This brochure is a guide for health professionals discussing alcohol with Aboriginal pregnant women. The guide includes information about: drinking alcohol during pregnancy and the risk of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum disorders (FASD), standard drinks, a tool to assess the risks to mother and baby if a woman is drinking and a guide to appropriate advice, and tips to avoid drinking alcohol in social situations.

The brochure includes the revised AUDIT-C alcohol screening tool and guide to advice for pregnant women.

The standard drinks guide is designed to support health professionals using the Stay strong FASD guide for health workers.
